the algarve’s beautiful beaches are characterised by sandstone cliffs creating sheltered coves of soft sand and clear calm water, ideal for swimming.

centianes beach is the closest to the villa, 3/4 mile (1.2km) away, along an easily walkable route.

other local beaches include carvalho (accessed via a tunnel through the cliff), carvoeiro (at the heart of the town), benagil and marinha (100+ steps, but worth it when you get there!).
